This isn’t about finding freedom from the mind.

This is about finding freedom through the mind.

Mind over matter.

Stop trying so hard to remove negative thoughts.

Accept every thought and feeling that comes your way- but question it. Interact with it.

And then choose to introduce more empowering ones.

this is some of the greatest medicine i have ever known.

Repeat it daily. Listen to it with your eyes closed, listen to it with the images, write it down, say it out loud- do with it what you please. Do what feels best for you.

My Experience

There was a time in my life where I felt so much pain and uncertainty within me that I didn’t know what to do with all of it.
I knew that I didn’t want my happiness to be dependent on external circumstances anymore. I knew that I could feel better.

I was told often how important my mindset was. That one way out was through my thoughts.

At the time, my thoughts didn’t seem like a friend. They seemed to echo doubt and frustration. Luckily, I was able to cling onto any piece of advice that promised the possibility of relief.

I came across the concept of affirmations. It seemed to make sense. By introducing positive thoughts, it focuses the mind on encouragement instead of defeat. The mind is so powerful that its job is to match our inner dialogue to our outer experiences. Think of it as a genie: “Your wish is my command.” Therefore, if we get a problem on a math test and think and believe that we are stupid, the brain will create more experiences (perceptions) that support the belief of being stupid. In contrast, when we use our thoughts to say beautiful things about ourselves, the brain becomes so used to hearing these words that it begins to believe them. It creates new patterns of response.

There was one set of affirmations in particular that stuck out to me. (I have searched all over but cannot find them to this day) I remember writing some of them down in a metallic jumbo green marker. As I wrote, I added more, flowing from my heart and adjusting words as I went.

I repeated them to myself often.
The very same words you hear in this meditation.

I didn’t believe them at first.

I wanted to- but trusting life to take care of me and wash away my worries seemed like a foreign concept.

I persisted anyway.

Bit by bit, as I became more aware of my thoughts and how to use them to my advantage, my life began to shift drastically.
If you read my blog, you may know some pieces of my life and how much the power of intention + mindset has guided it.
(An awesome post with more background to begin with is here.)

Years later, I am now working as an energy healer to share the power of mindset and wellness with my clients. After sharing these affirmations during many sessions, I decided to record them. Every word spoken here is infused with the highest, most unconditional love to make massive changes in your life.

Even if these words don’t feel true yet-

Persist anyway.
