May 2018: A Call To Show Up
Own your power. Take charge. Commit to yourself. Risk being seen in all your glory.
How large is your passion?
I'm not talking about a singular thing- a favored hobby or interest.
I am talking about how much space you take up every time you enter a room.
How brightly do you carry that twinkle in your eye?
How strongly do you show up in the world?
Do you feel your capabilities, rumbling like a starved beast in your belly?
It's time to take charge of your life.
When you rise to the occasion, and just take the first step-
all of the world shines its light on you.
It just seems like it hasn't been because it is waiting for you to do so first.
The first step is as simple as saying to yourself "I am worthy. I am powerful."
Give yourself the acceptance and love that you look all over for.
When we continue doing things that don't truly bring us joy or fulfillment, a slow burn begins to happen.
It simmers and simmers within us, so discreetly that we don't notice it at first.
Like a pressure cooker, it begins to build until our discomfort can't be ignored anymore.
Then we do something about it.
The sky cracks and fills with lightning, thunder roars out from under us, and we reclaim ourselves.
We clearly sense what works for us and what doesn't.
We begin observing different areas of our life and where we refuse to settle.
What are you willing and unwilling to live with?
Look at the different facets of your life, and ask yourself these questions.
Where are you shrinking, and where are you expanding?
Every time we ask, a closed door becomes a window and we are able to see.
From here, we have the insight that it takes to merge dreams and reality.
